  • Goose Island State Park Pier: Wooden pier, lighted, open 24 hours, cleaning table, admission $2.00/person. 10 miles north of Rockport on State Highway 35 to Park Road 13 then two miles east to park entrance. 202 S.   • Goose Island State Park covers 314 acres and is located at the conjunction of Aransas, Copano and St. Charles Bays. The park is noted for the "Big Tree", the State Champion Coastal Live Oak and the opportunity to view the endangered whooping cranes. Fishing enthusiasts are often rewarded with catches of redfish, flounder and speckled trout.

  • Rockport Beach Park Piers: Open 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 5 a.m. to midnight Friday through Sunday. 1.7 miles from The Lighthouse Inn. Seabreeze Drive, Rockport, 877-929-7977. North Pier - go through the entrance booth to beach and down to the north end. Wooden pier, $3.00 per vehicle admission at entrance booth or purchase an annual beach park pass/sticker. South Pier - before you get to the entrance booth down to the right. Concrete pier, no fee. Caution: Deep waters.

  • Rockport Beach Park"s mile long sandy beach is Texas' only certified Blue Wave Beach, meaning it is among the cleanest and safest. It is even shallow enough for small children and has no undertow or rough waves. Facilities include bird sanctuaries and an observation deck, adventure playground for kids, ¾ mile walking trail, over 50 picnic cabanas, sand volleyball courts, a lighted fishing and crabbing pier, boat ramp and docking pier, natural saltwater swimming pool, water skiing, windsurfing, kayaking and kite flying areas, and watercraft and pavilion rentals.

  • Fulton Beach Park & Harbor: 102 DeForest Loop, Fulton. .5 miles from The Lighthouse Inn. Boat ramp is on the south end.

    Fulton Harbor has historically been a commercial fishing boat harbor, but has become more popular as a recreational boat harbor in recent years. Two bait stands at the harbor, several restaurants within walking distance, public restrooms, public fishing, picnic shelters and "Paws & Taws" community center offering guest entertainment.
