ROCKPORT, Texas (March 20, 2003) – The innkeepers are nearing completion on the Texas Gulf Coast's newest resort destination – The Lighthouse Inn at Aransas Bay. Located in Rockport, this Victorian-style boutique hotel at the entrance to Fulton Harbor will feature 78 rooms and suites, a restaurant and bar, swimming pool and meeting facilities.

Scheduled to open in June, The Lighthouse Inn is developed by Dallas-based Heritage Holdings Inc. and managed by Hospitality Management Corporation. Designed for corporate and leisure travelers as well as extended-stay guests, the hotel is within a three-hour drive of Houston, San Antonio and Austin. It is also minutes from the Corpus Christi International Airport and Aransas County Airport, which can accommodate a variety of private planes and corporate jets.

The Lighthouse Inn's 36 single rooms have two queen beds, while the 42 full suites include a kitchen, king-size bed and sleeper sofa. Each of the 78 rooms offers a private balcony with rocking chairs, and guests can also enjoy the full-service restaurant and bar; landscaped courtyard with a pool and hot tub; on-property fishing; a fitness center with bay views; gift shop, and an intimate library. Business travelers will have high-speed Internet access; a spacious conference room, or a boardroom with a private balcony overlooking the bay.
