James "Rocky" Reese is president of Heritage Holdings Inc., based in Dallas, developer of The Lighthouse Inn at Aransas Bay. Reese has extensive experience in finance, business management and development.

In 1988, he co-founded and was the majority owner of Family Hospice, the second for-profit hospice in the United States. Under Reese's leadership, Family Hospice experienced consistent annual increases in profit and grew into a $40 million company with 500 employees and 21 locations in three states. It was one of the largest and most successful hospice companies in the country in 1998 when Reese merged Family Hospice with another organization.

Previous to operating Family Hospice, Reese worked in the financial services industry for Shearson Lehman Hutton and for Eppler, Guerin and Turner. Focusing on financial planning and professional money management, Reese won many honors, including EGT's Rookie of the Year and Millionaire's Club and E. F. Hutton's Financial Planner Club.

A graduate of the University of Texas MBA program, Reese was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi honor society and majored in finance. He also has a bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis both in business and finance from Austin College in Sherman, Texas.
